Its always advisable to set goals and milestones. We list our targets and milestones for the coming 6 months for our affiliate marketing. Hopefully, I can come back to refer to this thread with pride in future posts.
Its near the end of July now so as per my previous post, we have around USD100 so far for this month from affiliates as a starting point.
August 07 - Target USD150 - 150% increase from previous month
Hey I am not greedy!!! Actually, because we are just starting out, I guess most of the month will be reading, reviewing ideas, starting things off and finishing off a few things.
It also gives me less pressure which is always good.
The main priority targets and tasks for this month are:
1. Decide upon 2 main affiliate projects and do planning.
2. Complete affiliate data feed script we are developing and implement on at least one site for testing purposes.
3. Complete ArticleGOLD affiliate script and implement.
4. Register affiliate earnings from at least 3 merchants.
September 07 - Target USD300 - 200% increase from previous month
This month should see a substantial increase in revenue and we are going for doubling our last months total. Mainly I hope through the ArticleGOLD script but other stuff should start to kick in.
The main priority targets for this month are:
1. Launch a main affiliate project with proper foundation work for it.
2. Register affiliate earnings from at least 5 merchants.
October 07 - Target USD450 - 150% increase from previous month
Only 150% increase this month because, we’ll be working mainly on our first main affiliate project developing it.
The main priority targets for this month are:
1. Launch 2nd Main Affiliate project.
2. Register affiliate earnings from at least 10 merchants.
3. Develop ArticleGOLD affiliate script as a Free script and release.(Not really affiliate target but who cares)
January 08 - Target USD1800
No particular reason for the 1800USD number apart from it means ‘Must Rich’ in Cantonese. It also represents a good half years work with 2 main projects set up, a lot of reading, research, learning (which if you follow this blog you will be part of) and an affiliate data feed script sorted which we may offer as a product if we are having success with it.
You’ll notice that I am not making XXX,XXX USD claims and targets here. Its not really that we don’t have confidence in ourselves but rather I rather work with realistic targets than to sucker readers in. I mean, I don’t even have an idea of how to make money with affiliate marketing at the moment(well some ideas but mainly stuff to do with testing and experiments), so saying that I’ll make a fortune in 6 months seems unbelievable to me. Then again who knows … what I do know is that it’ll be interesting to read this post in 6 months time.
