WidgetBucks vs AuctionAds

Today, I will introduce to you a new player to the website monetization scene - WidgetBucks.

I’ve had enough of AuctionAds as I am confused how an Ebay based affiliate scheme can result in so little conversions with the amount of clicks I was bringing them.

Using ArticleGOLD as my platform again, I have removed most of the AuctionAd scripts and in places replaced them with the WidgetBucks ones. I’ve hear good things of the WidgetBucks programme so it will be interesting to see the results.

Then I hit the first problem.

The Article Dashboard script that we are still using for ArticleGOLD is based on a template clientside scripts. Putting the WidgetBucks code on the tmp file returns an error. I think this is also due to the fact that the AD script is encoded so I can’t even manually add the code on the site myself.

However, not to be beaten, I have put a general WidgetBucks code on an iframe on the site to see how it does. I will return on my findings in a few days as their revenue stats are delayed by 2-3 days so its going to take a while to get some data.

On another note, I have replaced the remaining AuctionAds slots with Adbrite Ads. I have used Adbrites before in a non serious way and want to see how its doing these days.

As usual, we will post our findings on this when the data comes in.
