Following from our Guide to Ad networks for Publishers, we review some Ad networks springing up that have been creative and offers alternative ways for webmasters and bloggers to monetize.
Whilst these are not traditional in their method, they remain loyal to the concept of an Ad Network in that they aggregate advertisers and publishers.
PayPerPost
PayPerPost is a great way for bloggers to get some additional income and whilst I have not tried the blogging side, I have recently played around with buying some posts. The speed that the posts were done after approval means that there is a healthy supply of bloggers ready to get Paid for Posting, which to me seems to suggest that the network is working.
Basically, the concept is that advertisers will post opportunities into the marketplace and set certain restrictions such as Price per post, how many links, Alexa Ranking, Page Rank, Category, etc. based on the restrictions, the opportunity is shown to the blogging community and posted on.

Text Link Ads

Text Link Ads basically helps you sell text links on your site. You join their program, install their bit of code onto your site and they will help you market, sell and manage everything from there on.
The system works very well and once you sell a link, usually it stay for a while. TLAs however take a hefty 50% of the sale price as commission so basically selling a USD25 a month link, you will get USD12.50.
How much you get is depending on your site but generally based on PageRank, a PR5 site you will get around USD12.50 a month per link, PR4 around USD8, etc.
Acceptance is relatively easy if you have a PR4 or above site.
Payment: Check or PayPal, monthly
